This printer was given to me by someone else, so I don't have the original software disk. Well, 'Manage Scan to Computer' is nowhere to be found. And telling me to double-click on the printer icon and then 'Manage Scan to Computer'. E.g., telling me to click on Windows Diagnostic Scan, well it doesn't exist. I've tried using the troubleshooting features that come with the software, but it tells me to click on this and that which actually don't exist on my operating system.
Interestingly, when I double-click on 'HP Scan' on my computer, it says 'HP 5520 not found'!! But if I click on HP Print, it's all connected and fine. I just reinstalled the printer and the scan still doesn't work. If I turn it off and on and reset the wireless connection etc, it doesn't work. The computer connects to the internet absolutely fine, but when it gets to the actual scanning bit, it says 'unable to scan' or something like that, and basically that's it. Up here, you will not be able to scan using the HP software and will need to continue to use your. And ever since then I haven't been able to scan. Can not scan to computer w/new HP Photosmart 6520.
